Gerold Ford Dies at 93

With the passage of Gerald Ford, more than just a former President has "shuffled off this mortal coil."  Mr. Ford was also the last surviving member of the Warren Commission, the sloppiest investigation into a murder in U.S. history (when considering the caliber of those members conducting the investigation that is-the Chief Justice of the United States, the former head of the CIA, etc, etc.).

While Mr. Ford is always going to be memorialized for his decision to pardon Richard Nixon's wrong-doings while he was in office, his real achievement was accomplished years earlier when he and his colleagues put a face to an action, even though the evidence did not support their conclusions. I can imagine that he was able to justify this action in the same way that he justified the pardon of Mr. Nixon: It was for the good of the country.

Now that Mr. Ford has passed on to his maker, I think it's high time that the real facts about the assassination of JFK be declassified once and for all.  Yes, there are still 1,300 pages of classified documents on the assassination of JFK.  Does this surprise you?  It still surprises me when you consider that the matter was supposed to be closed by the Warren Commission.  What else could have been going on that needed to be considered top secret?

I have always speculated that the information regarding JFK could not be released until everyone remotely involved in executing the plans to assassinate him or involved in covering it up had died, making it impossible to prosecute them for their actions.  Well, here it is, the last of them has moved along.  Now, let's see the truth for the first time since 1963.  We can handle it, really we can.  After all, the vast majority of the population believes that the government was involved in the assassination so the revelation won't have much of an impact.  The real value of the release would be to help put the murder of JFK behind us once and for all.

I watched a documentary about Bill Clinton's inaugural week at the White House in 1992.  He asked his top aides to get two pieces of information for him now that he was the President.  First, he wanted to know what those classifed documents said about the real assassins of JFK. Second, he wanted to know the truth about UFO's.  He was denied access on both requests.  What does that say about the real powers that run this country?

Whether or not you believe in assassination conspiracies, UFO's or monogamous marriages, you're only keeping the truth from yourself and your fellow citizens by not demanding an answer to these questions one way or the other: did the government kill JFK? Who are the aliens visiting this planet? Why do we have to be monogamous when there are so many hotties out there?  Now, that one is a conspiracy to keep the males frustrated enough to want to go to war at a moments notice, and I see it's working just fine!

CONGRESS, DECLASSIFY THE DOCUMENTS! LET THE TRUTH BE KNOWN OR THE HEAVEN'S FALL! We can handle it, really.
